The Trehane Blueberry PYO has been around a long time! Longer that any of us here today in fact and as such has had many a pair of hands tend to it since the Bluebs were planted in 1964.

The full story is on the HISTORY page and nowadays the farm is run by the fantastic team of Brothers Farm.

Set up by two Dorset brothers (Josh & Dan) in 2018, Brothers Farm came about after Josh had been single-handedly looking after the Blueberry plantation since 2015 for the then retired Jeremy Trehane (the last of the Trehanes to look after the site).

When Josh's brother Dan moved back to Dorset with his young family, they teamed up and set about maintaining the Blueberries and developing the site to help provide a more sustainable income through diversifying their produce into Cut-Flowers and developing what began as a seasonal cafe into a year round enterprise. 

Following its goal of creating a year round cafe and having completed 10 years of Blueberry stewardship, Josh has now moved on to a more dynamic growing venture elsewhere in Dorset leaving Dan to run Brothers Farm and grow the team here to help look after this hallowed land.

And as they say, the rest is history...

Step by step we are still trying to make a living from growing Organic fruit AND improving the farm along the way by diversifying its income and increasing productivity & biodiversity in a way that will enable the farm to live on after we have had our time too.

It's a long game we know and with many challenges overcome so far and many still to come, either way we reckon it's still worth a visit for sure ;)
