ABOUT US

We are Josh & Dan – Two Dorset brothers who run the the oldest Blueberry plantation in the UK.

The Trehanes who started the farm have now retired and since 2015 Josh has been looking after the Bluebs and mastering the ways & means of keeping these old and unique plants alive and thriving.

After three years of single-handed farming Josh invited his brother Dan to get involved and in 2018 Brothers Farm was born.

The Blueberries now had some much needed help, however in order to extend the incredibly short season and diversify what the farm provided they started to grow cut-flowers and introduce a seasonal cafe in the summer...

Step by step we are still trying to make a living from growing Organic fruit AND improving the farm along the way by diversifying its income, productivity & biodiversity in a way that will enable the farm to live on after we have had our time too.

It's a long game for sure and with many challenges still to come but we're doing our best and we reckon it's worth a visit for sure ;)

THE HARVEST TEAM!

Each summer we employ a team of dedicated Blueberry pickers & packers through July & August.

It's a full-time summer holiday job that requires committed, hard-working folk that have a good sense of humour and are keen to work hard.

CHRISTMAS SEASON COMPLETED! HUMUNGUS MASSIVE THANKYOU to everyone who’s been past here the last few weeks in both the flower barn and the wreath workshops Becca & Em have done such a great job in putting on… Thankyou for your support in keeping this funny old business in this funny old place going for another year :) So, not only have you helped us out by coming by but you’ve also helped donate £150 to @juliashousechildrenshospice from our Christmas tree sales and over the whole year a whopping £537 from Mrs B’s Blueberry Jam has gone to the ever growing @wimbornecommunitygarden :) So well done to everyone indeed and THANKYOU again … So maybe it’s time for a breather over Christmas Bruv…..??? hmmm….…we’ll see… ;) 🤟👍🏾🤘🏼🤟🏿👊

FLOWER BARN RE-STOCKED & READY TO GO: Our last wknd of 2023 starts tomorrow - dried flowers aplenty and a new small batch of C.Trees has arrived so looking forward to one last hurrah before the SERIOUS work begins…! TEAM FLOWER BARN CAFE! With just one day of the cafe left we want to show some SERIOUS APPRECIATION to the Cafe crew here who have served up so many nice times throughout the summer. Lucy & Isaac especially out front with some mega backup from our mate Henry have been fantastic and we couldn’t do any of this without them. TEAM BLUEBERRY! Well, that’s it for Bluebs this summer we’re afraid - the PYO is now closed until next July so time to BIG UP the BLUEBERRY TEAM here who have made all those little blue fellas so good this season. There are still 3 days left of the Flower Barn Cafe and Flower Field this week and then it’s back on the tools for us for the autumn. So BIG thanks to our picking and packing crew who have battled all the elements this summer and sent Organic Bluebs throughout the land :) And the JB / Louis combo that has kept the field looking good and producing right to the end 🤟 And if you need that last coffee and cake in the flower field fix before next year then we hope to see you very soon indeed! 🤟👍🏾🤟🏿🤘🏼👊
